SIMPLE Cheesecake Oreo Brownie Dessert Recipe

By  |

These Cheesecake Oreo Brownie bars are my go-to when I need to impress someone with my “mad Dad” skills in the kitchen. I like it for a few reasons:

  1. It’s crazy easy. You’re literally using a box of brownie mix. It doesn’t get a whole lot easier than that.
  2. It’s crazy good. What could make brownies taste better? Adding in a whole lot of Oreos and sugar – that’s what.
  3. It seems fancy. I’m all about food and desserts that seem a lot fancier than they really are. (See #1.)

How to Make Cheesecake Oreo Brownies

You’re going to love how simple this dessert is. My kids love to help out with this one – especially when it comes to the part of layering in the Oreos.

First, you’re going to want to gather your ingredients and whip up the Brownie mix according to the instructions on the box.

Spread the brownies into a greased dish and then add in a layer of Oreo cookies. Like I said, this is a great job for your little helpers in the kitchen.

Then you’re simply going to whip together your cream cheese, vanilla, sugar and eggs and pour that on top of the Oreos. Easy, right?

The last step is what brings this from a cool dessert to a downright fancy one. You can totally skip this step if you want to, but I find that it adds a whole lot to the final result.

You’re going to puree your blackberries (or the fruit of your choice). For those of you that haven’t pureed before, you basically just dump them into a food processor or even a blender and process/blend until they’re fully pureed. Then you’ll strain them through a mesh strainer so that you’re not dealing with a bunch of seeds in your dessert.

And then you’ll just drizzle the juice on the very top of your dish. You can get as fancy as you want with your pattern.

And then you’ll just bake it for about an hour, refrigerate it overnight and then enjoy! You’re seriously going to feel like a professional chef with this one.

Here’s the recipe. Let me know if you make them and what you think.
